About
Aim Security was an Israeli AI security startup founded by CEO Matan Getz and CTO Adir Gruss, built to give enterprises visibility, control, and governance over how employees and applications use AI. It raised a $10M seed round led by YL Ventures in January 2024 and an $18M Series A led by Canaan Partners in June 2024, for about $28M in total funding.
The company gained industry attention for its research, including the June 2025 disclosure of EchoLeak, a zero-click prompt injection attack targeting Microsoft 365 Copilot. In September 2025, Cato Networks announced the acquisition of Aim Security, its first-ever acquisition, to expand the Cato SASE Cloud Platform into AI security; financial terms were officially undisclosed, with press estimates in the $300-375M range. The standalone product is now part of Cato Networks.
