The rules

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 13, 2026

1. What Neuricon is

Neuricon is an AI news wire, wiki, and tools directory with a community board. We track AI models, tools, and research; summarize the daily news; and let members share tools, skills, articles, and papers with each other. The service is currently in beta — things may change, break, or move as we build.

2. Accounts

You can browse most of Neuricon without an account. Posting on the community board, earning XP, and leveling up require one. You may sign up with Google, GitHub, or email and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything done under your account.

Pick a username with 3–24 characters (letters, numbers, underscores). Usernames are unique and public. Impersonating another person or brand is not allowed.

3. Community posts and moderation

Posts on the community board go through human review before appearing publicly. Members at Curator level (3) and above with a clean record may have posts auto-approved. We may remove any post, at any time, for any reason — including spam, misleading claims, copyrighted material posted without rights, harassment, or content that has nothing to do with AI.

By posting, you confirm you have the right to share what you post, and you grant Neuricon a non-exclusive license to display it on the site.

4. Levels, XP, and badges

XP is earned by participating: approved posts, daily visits, reading pages, posting comments, and receiving likes. Daily caps apply to prevent farming. Levels (Explorer → Contributor → Curator → Mentor → Luminary) unlock perks like priority review, auto-approval, badges, and profile frames.

XP and levels have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or sold, and may be adjusted or reset if we detect gaming, abuse, or bugs in the system. Level perks are a courtesy, not a contract — we may change them as the product evolves.

5. Trust scores — what they mean

Every tool, skill, and model in our directory carries a trust score from 1–10 with written reasoning. Scores reflect our researchers' verification work: official documentation, independent reviews, security posture, and honest limitations. A high score is our assessment, not a guarantee — always evaluate tools for your own use case before depending on them.

6. What's not allowed

Don't do any of the following — violations lead to the punishments in section 7:

  • Spam, scams, phishing, or malware links
  • Harassment, hate speech, or threats toward any person or group
  • Posting others' private information (doxxing)
  • Automated scraping, bulk account creation, or XP farming
  • Attempting to breach, probe, or bypass our security
  • Impersonating Neuricon staff or other members
  • Posting content you don't have the right to share

7. Punishments

Enforcement scales with severity: a warning, post removal, temporary suspension, XP/level reset, or a permanent ban. Severe violations (security attacks, doxxing, illegal content) skip straight to a permanent ban. We don't owe an explanation for every action, but bans for non-obvious reasons come with one on request.

8. Intellectual property

Neuricon's design, code, and original writing are ours. Community posts belong to their authors (see section 3 for the display license). AI model names, tool names, and logos belong to their respective owners and appear for identification only.

9. No warranties; limitation of liability

Neuricon is provided "as is", in beta, without warranties of any kind. News summaries may contain errors; trust scores are opinions; community posts are members' views, not ours. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes

We'll update these terms as Neuricon grows. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Major changes will be announced on the site.
