Android Agent Skills
Google's official AI-optimized Agent Skills for Android development, grounded in developer.android.com.
About
Android Agent Skills (github.com/android/skills) is Google's official repository of AI-optimized, modular SKILL.md instructions that ground LLMs in Android best practices from developer.android.com. Rather than covering areas where models are already proficient, the skills deliberately target use cases and workflows where evaluations show LLMs underperform — such as edge-to-edge UI, Navigation 3, and the R8 analyzer — following the open agentskills.io standard.
Skills install through the Android CLI (android skills add --skill=r8-analyzer or --all) into any detected agent directory, defaulting to Gemini and Antigravity, and are also surfaced inside Android Studio. The repo holds roughly 5,300 stars under Apache 2.0. Honest caveats: coverage is intentionally narrow — it skips well-established areas like basic Jetpack Compose — so it complements rather than replaces general Android knowledge, and community mirrors exist, so install from the official android/skills repo or the Android CLI.

- Apache 2.0 licensed
