Awesome CursorRules
The canonical collection of Cursor AI rules: 150+ drop-in .mdc files.
About
awesome-cursorrules is the largest community catalog of Cursor Project Rules — 150+ ready-made .mdc files covering nearly every major framework, language, and workflow, each a drop-in file for a project's .cursor/rules/ folder. With roughly 40.8k stars it is the reference collection for rules-as-progressive-disclosure in the IDE, and its rule files double as agent skills usable in Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, and AGENTS.md setups.
As a curated bundle it is only as good as its maintenance: individual rules vary in quality and freshness, some target older framework versions, and indiscriminately stacking rules bloats context. Treat it as a menu to pick from, not a bundle to install whole — one or two well-chosen rules beat twenty generic ones.
What it can do
