About

Blogtrottr is the inverse of a reader: instead of pulling you into an app, it pushes feeds to your inbox. Enter a feed URL and an email address, and it monitors the feed and emails you new items — as instant single emails, daily digests, or weekly digests, in HTML or plain text, with the full article in the email rather than just a headline. It has run since around 2010, making it one of the longest-lived RSS-to-email services.

The free tier is Blogtrottr's calling card: unlimited subscriptions, keyword filters to include or exclude items, import/export of your feed list, customizable email subjects, thumbnails, and even PDF or text attachments for offline reading — funded by ads inside the emails. A paid No Ads tier (roughly $19/year per third-party 2026 comparisons) removes the advertising while keeping the unlimited count. Independent reviewers praise it as simple, cost-effective, and generous, while noting the ad-supported emails are the price of free. Honest tradeoffs: the ads can feel intrusive if you're paying attention, the interface is utilitarian rather than modern, and it's a small proprietary service — your subscriptions live on someone else's server with no public API.
