Bump.sh

Hosted API documentation from OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specs, with automatic change tracking and semantic diffs.

About

Bump.sh turns OpenAPI and AsyncAPI definitions into hosted, searchable API documentation that stays in sync with the code. Connect a spec file through the CLI, GitHub integration, or CI pipeline, and every deploy diffs the new version against the old one, flagging breaking changes before they reach consumers. Docs live on a custom domain with your branding, and multiple APIs can be grouped into a hub.

Where Bump.sh stands apart is change management: automatic changelogs per release, branching for unreleased work, and rollback when something goes wrong. An API Explorer for trying endpoints live starts on the Pro plan, and the platform now compiles workflow definitions into hosted MCP servers so AI agents can use your API deterministically. Pricing starts at $50/month with no free tier, though open-source projects can apply for a free Pro plan. The CLI is MIT-licensed, but the documentation platform itself is closed source.

What it can do

  • Hosted API docs generated from OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specs
  • Semantic diff of every spec version with breaking-change alerts
  • Automatic changelog per release plus branch previews and rollback
  • API Explorer for live try-it requests (Pro plan and up)
  • Hosted MCP servers generated from Flower or Arazzo workflow definitions
  • Hubs to group multiple APIs under one custom domain

Setup

Install the Bump.sh CLI or GitHub Action, point it at your OpenAPI or AsyncAPI file, and publish on each deploy.
