About

A Claude Code skill that turns the agent into a Socratic programming tutor. Instead of dumping answers, it asks guiding questions, celebrates real growth moments, and remembers the learner's journey across sessions via a progress file. Install with git clone plus a copy into ~/.claude/skills/learn; the README documents a name collision with gstack's own /learn skill and how to rename. MIT licensed, 20 stars on the upstream repo (use the deniz-miro original, not the giovani-junior-dev fork). As a dialogue tutor it is only as good as the learner's willingness to engage — passive users who want direct answers will find the questioning style slow.

What it can do

  • Socratic dialogue-based programming tutoring, cross-session progress tracking, adaptive questioning that probes understanding, documented handling of /learn name collisions
