About
Opik is an open-source platform from Comet ML for the full lifecycle of LLM applications: tracing, evaluation, and production monitoring. It covers deep tracing of LLM calls and agent activity, experiments with datasets and LLM-as-a-judge metrics (hallucination detection, RAG answer relevance, context precision), prompt versioning and a prompt playground, an agent/prompt optimizer SDK, and guardrails for PII and off-topic detection.
The core (comet-ml/opik) is Apache 2.0 and self-hostable via Docker Compose or Helm with Python and TypeScript SDKs; a managed cloud tier offers a free hosted plan (per-vendor: 25k spans/month) and paid plans from $39/month. It ships 40+ framework integrations including LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google ADK, AutoGen, and Flowise, plus CI/CD integration via PyTest.
