DiffusionBee
One-click local Stable Diffusion app for Mac with inpainting and upscaling.
About
DiffusionBee is the simplest way to run Stable Diffusion locally on a Mac: a one-click installer with a clean GUI covering text-to-image, image-to-image, inpainting, outpainting, upscaling, ControlNet, LoRA, and generation history. It supports SD 1.x, SD 2.x, SDXL, and inpainting models, optimized for Apple Silicon M1/M2 chips, with full data privacy since nothing is sent to the cloud.
Honest caveats: the open-source repo has seen no meaningful updates in roughly three years, so it is effectively a legacy tool compared to actively maintained alternatives like Fooocus, ComfyUI, or Easy Diffusion. It is Mac-only with no Windows/Linux support. Still, for a casual Mac user who wants local generation with zero technical setup, it remains functional.
What it can do
- Local text-to-image and image-to-image generation
- Inpainting, outpainting, and image upscaling
- ControlNet and LoRA support
- In-app model downloading and generation history
- Full privacy: no data leaves the machine
Setup
