Dokploy
Free, self-hostable PaaS — the open-source alternative to Vercel, Netlify, and Heroku.
About
Dokploy is a free, self-hostable platform as a service that turns a single VPS into a deployment platform. Deploy any application type (Node.js, PHP, Python, Go, Ruby) from Git or Docker Compose, provision MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, libsql, or Redis with one click, and get automatic HTTPS via Traefik routing.
It covers the operational basics teams expect: automated database backups to external storage, real-time monitoring of CPU/memory/storage/network, multi-server deployment to remote hosts, Docker Swarm multi-node scaling, one-click templates (Plausible, PocketBase, Cal.com), and deploy notifications over Slack, Discord, Telegram, or email, plus a CLI and API. Being self-hosted means you own your data and pay only for your VPS, but also that uptime, security patching, and scaling are your responsibility — the classic self-hosting trade-off versus managed platforms.
What it can do
- One-click app and database deployment (Postgres, MySQL, Mongo, Redis) on your VPS
- Docker Compose support with Traefik routing and automatic HTTPS
- Automated backups, real-time monitoring, and deploy notifications
- Multi-server management, Docker Swarm scaling, and one-click open-source templates
Setup
Install on any VPS with a single Docker command from dokploy.com, point your DNS at it, then deploy apps from Git or compose files through the dashboard.
Prerequisites
A VPS with Docker (2GB+ RAM recommended); a domain with DNS control for automatic HTTPS.
