About
Fairly AI provides an automated governance, risk, and compliance platform for artificial intelligence, built for regulated industries like finance, healthcare, and government. Founded in 2020 in Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada, it grew out of an interdisciplinary research project on responsible AI.
Its platform covers the full AI lifecycle: automated risk testing with a multi-agent-as-a-judge framework, algorithmic fairness testing, explainability, policy management, and continuous monitoring, mapped to the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
Lifecycle note: in 2025 Fairly AI acquired the Swedish startup anch.AI and now operates its platform under the Asenion brand, with an Asenion compliance agent developed through pilots with a tier-1 bank.
