Fellow
Agendas, collaborative notes and AI recaps that make meetings actually productive — before, during and after.
About
Fellow is a meeting-productivity platform from Ottawa that treats the meeting itself as the product surface. Founded in November 2017 by Amin Mirzaee, Aydin Mirzaee and Sam Cormier-Iijima — serial founders whose previous company Fluidware was acquired — it launched after a beta with 200 Shopify employees and grew on collaborative agendas, action-item tracking, one-on-one tools and feedback features. It raised a $24 million Series A led by Craft Ventures in 2021, bringing total funding to $30.5 million, and was rebranded from Fellow.app to Fellow.ai in August 2025 as AI recording took center stage.
Fellow now records via meeting bot or botless desktop capture, transcribes in 100 languages, and turns calls into agendas, notes, decisions and action items that flow into project-management tools and CRMs. Its compliance posture is serious for the category — SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA, with customer meeting data explicitly not used to train AI models. Pricing starts with a free plan (lifetime allowances, not monthly), Team at $7 per user per month on annual billing, and Enterprise at $25.

Use cases
Works with
Trust score — 8/10
Scored 8/10 (TIER verified, metrics-v1). Evidence: 2017 founding, $24M Series A and Shopify incubation corroborated by citybiz and the Globe and Mail; Fellow.app→Fellow.ai rebrand and compliance posture documented by MeetGeek's 2026 review. Strengths: process-first meeting design (not just transcripts), credible compliance, repeat-founder team, 100-language transcription. Docked for: (1) free plan is lifetime-capped rather than recurring; (2) AI features gate quickly behind paid tiers; (3) pricing and feature overlap with pure AI notetakers makes positioning crowded. License: proprietary SaaS; free plan, paid from $7/user/month.
