About

Harmonic Security, jointly headquartered in London and San Francisco and founded by Digital Shadows veterans Alastair Paterson and Bryan Woolgar-O'Neil, rethinks data protection for generative AI. Instead of complex classification rules and noisy labels, it uses pre-trained specialized language models to identify and safeguard sensitive data, nudging users toward better security practices without disrupting workflows.

It launched in October 2023 with a $7M seed led by Ten Eleven Ventures, then raised a $17.5M Series A in 2024 led by Next47, bringing total funding past $26M. As employees hand work to agentic AI in tools like Claude Code and MCP-connected agents, Harmonic has expanded into agentic governance, giving security teams visibility across browsers, desktops, and the agentic AI layer, stopping risky agent actions and IP leakage to AI providers. In August 2026 it signed a US distribution agreement with Climb for its VAR and MSP network.

What it can do

  • Zero-touch data protection via specialized language models
  • Visibility and control over agentic AI and MCP usage
  • IP-leakage prevention to AI providers at the moment of action
  • No manual data classification or rule configuration
  • US distribution via Climb VAR/MSP network
