About

Ideogram is the image generator you reach for when the image needs readable words. Version 3.0 keeps its industry-leading text accuracy — logos, headlines, curved and perspective text, long passages — while adding noticeably better photorealism, a style-reference system (up to 3 images to lock a brand aesthetic), and an upgraded Canvas editor with Magic Fill, Extend, and Erase. A Magic Prompt feature expands short descriptions into detailed prompts, and paid plans unlock API access.

The honest picture: outside of typography, its artistic range trails Midjourney and its photorealism trails Flux — it wins on words, not on painterly depth. Human faces can still be inconsistent, the community is smaller, and priority credits on paid plans don't roll over. The free tier is real and usable for evaluation, but serious commercial volume needs the Plus ($20/month) or Pro ($60/month) plans.
