About

Inoreader is a cloud RSS reader from Bulgaria-based Innologica, launched in 2013 as one of the first serious Google Reader replacements. Where most readers stop at collecting feeds, Inoreader is built around taming them: you can follow blogs, news sites, YouTube channels, podcasts, Reddit threads, and email newsletters (via forwarding addresses) in one place, and then set up rules and filters that tag, mute, or route articles automatically as they arrive. Its signature feature is monitoring feeds — save any search, including Boolean queries with language filters, and it becomes a standing feed that tracks mentions of a keyword, brand, or topic across the open web in real time, not just within your subscriptions.

The free plan is one of the more generous in the category: 150 RSS subscriptions, 20 newsletter feeds, and 20 web feeds (for sites without RSS), with full-text search across your own articles. Pro costs $7.50/month billed annually ($90/year) or $9.99 month-to-month, raising the cap to 2,500 feeds and unlocking monitoring feeds, unlimited rules and filters, and Inoreader Intelligence — AI article summaries, extracted mentions of companies and people, and suggested tags, with a bring-your-own-AI-key option added in 2026. Honest tradeoffs: the free plan shows banner ads, the interface can overwhelm newcomers, source discovery is limited to Inoreader's own curated collections, and team pricing is custom-quoted rather than flat per seat.

What it can do

  • Monitoring feeds: any search becomes a persistent feed tracking keywords across the open web
  • Rules and filters that tag, mute, route, or push-notify articles automatically (Pro)
  • Newsletter-to-RSS: personal forwarding address pulls email newsletters into the reader
  • Web feeds: follow sites that do not publish RSS (Pro)
  • Boolean search with language filters across subscriptions and the open web
  • Inoreader Intelligence: AI summaries, entity extraction, suggested tags, BYO-AI-key (Pro)
  • Unlimited folders on every plan; OPML import/export
  • IFTTT and Zapier integrations, plus an API for custom workflows
  • Web, iOS, and Android apps with browser extensions

Setup

Sign up free at inoreader.com and add feeds by URL, search, OPML import, or from Inoreader's curated collections. To read newsletters inside it, forward them to your personal Inoreader newsletter address. On Pro, turn saved searches into monitoring feeds and create rules (tag, mute, route, notify) under Preferences > Rules. Mobile apps are available for iOS and Android; browser extensions cover Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

Prerequisites

A web browser (or the iOS/Android app); an email address for newsletter forwarding; Pro subscription for monitoring feeds, rules, and AI features.

Trust score — 8/10

/10 trustVerified

Scored 8/10 (verified tier, metrics-v1). Evidence: launched 2013 by Innologica (Bulgaria) with over a decade of continuous operation; multiple independent 2026 reviews confirm the free-tier caps (150 RSS, 20 newsletters, 20 web feeds), Pro pricing ($7.50/mo annual / $9.99 monthly), monitoring feeds, rules/filters, and Intelligence AI features. Strengths: generous free tier, differentiated keyword monitoring, transparent published limits. Docked for: (1) adoption figures are provider-claimed rather than independently audited; (2) banner ads on the free plan; (3) the interface skews complex for casual readers. License: proprietary, freemium.
