Lepton AI
GPU compute marketplace across 20+ cloud providers.
Acquired — still operating
acquired by NVIDIA Apr 2025; relaunched as DGX Cloud Lepton
About
Lepton AI was a developer-friendly AI platform offering serverless open-source model inference, dev pods, and batch jobs through a simple API and the open-source leptonai Python library. NVIDIA acquired the startup in April 2025 and relaunched it as NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton.
DGX Cloud Lepton now operates as a GPU compute marketplace connecting developers to capacity from 20+ cloud partners (CoreWeave, Lambda, Nebius, Crusoe, AWS, and others) through one interface, with NVIDIA NIM microservices for inference, distributed training jobs, and region-aware placement for data sovereignty.
What it can do
- Multi-cloud GPU marketplace
- Serverless inference endpoints
- Dev pods and batch jobs
- NVIDIA NIM integration
Setup
Access via build.nvidia.com; use the leptonai Python library and lep CLI.
