LibreWolf
Firefox with the tracking stripped out: no telemetry, uBlock Origin built in, and fingerprints turned generic.
About
LibreWolf is a community-run independent fork of Firefox and the successor to LibreFox, compiled directly from Firefox Stable releases with privacy turned up to the maximum and data collection turned off at the code level. It removes all telemetry, sponsored content, the Normandy remote-configuration system, and DRM, ships with uBlock Origin pre-installed with custom filter lists, enables strict tracking protection and resistFingerprinting, deletes cookies and site data on close, and includes only privacy-respecting search engines like DuckDuckGo and Searx. There is no default sync service; it can be installed alongside Firefox with its own profile folder.
The audience is people who want Firefox's rendering engine and extension ecosystem without Mozilla's telemetry and without spending an afternoon in about:config. The cost of the defaults is practical: sites will forget you between sessions unless you whitelist them, DRM-free builds mean no Netflix or Prime playback out of the box, and hardened defaults break the occasional site. Update timing follows Firefox Stable but community builds can lag security patches slightly, and there is no Android release yet. It is free and open source, built on Mozilla's codebase with community patches.

Trust score — 8/10
Scored 8/10 (metrics tier, metrics-v1). Evidence: 2026 coverage confirms LibreWolf is compiled from Firefox Stable with telemetry, Normandy, sponsored content, and DRM removed, uBlock Origin pre-installed, cookies cleared on close, and fingerprint resistance on; it is community-built and installable alongside Firefox. Strengths: maximum Firefox privacy with zero configuration and no account. Docked for: (1) community-run with no formal security audit and update lag risk versus Firefox Stable; (2) hardened defaults break sites and kill DRM streaming; (3) no Android release yet. License: open source (Mozilla Public License lineage with community patches).
