LlamaCoder
Open-source prompt-to-app builder powered by Llama on Together AI.
About
LlamaCoder is an open-source web app that generates complete small applications from a single text prompt, an open implementation of the Claude Artifacts concept. It was built by Together AI on Meta's Llama 3.1 405B to show open-weight models handling full app generation.
The generated app renders live in a sandboxed in-browser preview, and developers iterate with follow-up prompts. The stack pairs Together AI inference with an esbuild-wasm preview renderer, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
It went viral shortly after release, with hundreds of thousands of apps generated and thousands of GitHub stars, and it remains a popular reference implementation for prompt-to-app builders.
What it can do
- Generate full apps from one prompt
- Live in-browser sandboxed preview
- Iterative follow-up prompting
- Self-hostable Next.js codebase
