About
Luminar AI was Skylum's 2020 photo editor built around AI Templates that analyzed each photo and suggested edits, with tools like Sky AI, Skin AI, and Body AI automating complex retouching. It was positioned as the fast, simple alternative to manual editing.
Skylum stopped selling Luminar AI and replaced it with Luminar Neo, a rebuilt flagship with a modular engine. Luminar AI is discontinued legacy software: no new features, limited support, and possible compatibility issues on newer operating systems, though existing installs still run.
