About

Meshy is an AI 3D generation platform that turns text descriptions and reference images into textured 3D models in seconds, aimed at game developers, XR prototypers, and 3D-printing hobbyists. Beyond generation it offers text-to-texture (PBR material maps without manual UV unwrapping), auto-rigging and animation for characters and quadrupeds, and a 3D agent that proposes creative directions conversationally. At CES 2026 Meshy announced Creative Lab, an end-to-end workflow from prompt to physical product — automated mesh repair, material selection, and fulfillment through manufacturing partners — and partnered with Formlabs' Form Now print-on-demand service.

The honest picture: Meshy is one of the fastest routes from idea to usable 3D asset, and the manufacturing loop is a real differentiator for makers. But generated meshes still need cleanup for production game pipelines, the free tier is credit-limited, and AI-to-physical quality depends on the category — figurines and keychains work better than functional parts.

What it can do

  • Text-to-3D and image-to-3D with PBR textures
  • Text-to-texture for existing models
  • Auto-rigging and character/quadruped animation
  • Meshy Creative Lab: prompt-to-physical-product workflow
  • Formlabs Form Now integration for print-on-demand
  • API for game-engine and production pipelines

Setup

Sign up at meshy.ai and generate in the browser; API available for pipelines. Creative Lab handles manufacturing fulfillment.

Prerequisites

A Meshy account; for printing, no slicer knowledge needed — the platform handles mesh repair.
