Metail
Early 3D virtual fitting room that built a MeModel from your measurements.
About
Metail was a London startup founded in 2008 that built one of the first 3D virtual fitting rooms. Shoppers entered their body measurements to generate a 3D MeModel, then tried garments on the avatar to check fit before ordering.
The company partnered with retailers to cut return rates in online fashion. This is a historical entry documenting an early pioneer of virtual try-on; the standalone service is no longer active.
