Motionleap

Animate still photos with AI: water, skies, cinemagraphs, and text-to-image art in one app.

About

Motionleap, from Lightricks (the makers of Facetune and Videoleap), turns still photos into moving images. You draw arrows to set motion direction, drop anchor points to hold areas still, and use a freeze brush to isolate regions; AI-powered water animation and one-tap sky replacement handle the common cases automatically. Overlays, camera FX like tilt and dolly, and geometric motion tools add cinematic movement, and results export as MP4, GIF, or live wallpaper.

The app also bundles a text-to-image AI art generator, so you can create the starting artwork and animate it in one place. It was formerly known as Pixaloop and sits in Lightricks' Enlight creativity suite. The free plan covers a useful slice of the animation tools with no account required, but the more advanced effects, overlays, and the AI generator sit behind the Pro subscription, and there is no web version.
