Plasmic

Visual builder for React that non-devs can ship with — design pages visually, sync code into your repo.

About

Plasmic (founded 2020) is a visual page builder deeply integrated with code: designers and marketers drag-and-drop pages and components visually, while developers import any React component into the canvas and sync the output back into their codebase via CLI or the headless API. It doubles as a headless CMS with content types, and connects to Contentful, Sanity, Shopify, Strapi, and more. The free tier is generous — unlimited projects, publishes, and code components — with paid plans from around $58/month upward.

The honest picture: there is a real learning curve to the visual builder's mental model, and complex apps eventually need enough custom code that the visual layer becomes overhead. Pricing is use-case-dependent and can confuse. Platform dependence is the classic tradeoff — your content lives in Plasmic's system, though the code-sync story is better than most no-code tools.

  • Drag-and-drop visual builder with full code control
  • Import any React component into the canvas
  • CLI and headless API for code sync
  • Built-in headless CMS with content types

  • Integrations with Contentful, Sanity, Shopify, Strapi

Setup

Sign up at plasmic.app, create a project, and optionally install the CLI (npm i -g @plasmic/cli) to sync designs into your React codebase.
