About
PostHog Community Skills (github.com/posthog/community-skills) is a community marketplace of agent skills — reusable SKILL.md instruction packs following the Agent Skills spec — that any MCP-connected agent (Max, Claude, etc.) can discover, install, and use against PostHog data. The repo is the source of truth; PostHog syncs it into an in-app marketplace under Skills → Community where users browse, vote, and one-click install skills into their project.
Skills carry trust tiers: official (PostHog-authored), verified (community-authored, maintainer-reviewed), and community (automated checks + PR review). Official first-party skills also ship in the posthog/posthog monorepo and via the PostHog/skills distribution repo. Honest caveat from PostHog itself: skills are agent instructions that steer agents with access to your analytics data — review a skill's instructions and declared allowed_tools before installing, like browser-extension permissions.
