A DAW where audio and MIDI are one — edit notes inside any recording.

About

RipX DAW by Hit'n'Mix (hitnmix.com) rips audio into 6+ separable stems and then further into fully editable notes, chords and unpitched sounds, so you can retune, retime, replace or remove individual notes inside a mixed recording. The Pro version adds Audioshop cleanup tools, a harmonic editor and Python scripting (RipScripts).

It is a one-time purchase ($99, $198 Pro) with a 21-day free trial — no subscription. The workflow is unique enough that it takes real learning, and deep editing works best on material the separator handles cleanly.

What it can do

  • AI stem separation (6+ stems)
  • Note and chord level editing
  • Unpitched sound editor
  • Harmonic Editor (Pro)
  • Audioshop cleanup tools (Pro)
  • RipScripts Python scripting (Pro)
  • VST3/ARA RipLink plugins
  • AI music generator output cleanup
