Rive
Create real-time interactive animations with state machines.
About
Rive is a browser-based editor and runtime for interactive vector animations. Unlike timeline tools, Rive binds animations to state machines that respond to user input, data conditions, and programmatic triggers, making it suited for interactive icons, game UI, and animated onboarding.
Animations ship as lightweight .riv files rendered in real time via runtimes for web, iOS, Android, Flutter, and game engines. An open-source MCP server ecosystem now lets AI agents create, edit, and render Rive files directly from coding assistants.
What it can do
- State machine driven interactive animations
- Real-time vector rendering across platforms
- Lightweight .riv file format
- MCP server for AI-assisted animation creation
