Ruflo
Agent meta-harness for Claude Code and Codex: swarms, memory, and a mission-control console (formerly Claude Flow)
About
Ruflo — renamed from Claude Flow in 2026 (github.com/ruvnet/claude-flow now redirects to ruvnet/ruflo) — is an agent meta-harness that wraps Claude Code and Codex with an execution layer: 100+ specialized agents, coordinated swarms, self-learning memory (AgentDB/RuVector vector stores), a terminal mission-control console (overview, cost, swarm, events, missions), 35 installable plugins (security audit, test generation, browser automation, cost tracking, observability), and MCP/hook integration. Two install paths: lightweight Claude Code plugins (/plugin marketplace add ruvnet/ruflo) or the full CLI install (npx ruflo@latest init) which adds the MCP server, hooks, daemon, and workspace scaffolding. It's one of the highest-traction agent harnesses on GitHub, but it is also the most context-heavy and marketing-forward of the major harnesses — vet the install surface and clean up stale MCP registrations after the rename.
What it can do
- **Swarm orchestration:** coordinated multi-agent swarms with router, autopilot loops, and background workers
- **Memory:** AgentDB vector memory, RAG memory, RuVector (GPU-accelerated search + Graph RAG), session save/restore
- **Console:** terminal mission-control UI — workflows, agents, models, tokens, cost, event logs, replay/compare
- **Plugins:** 35 installable plugins (security audit, prompt-injection defense, testgen, browser, cost tracker, observability, ADRs, SPARC methodology)
- **MCP server:** ~300+ tools exposed to Claude Code, Codex, and other MCP clients
- **Federation:** agents on different machines collaborate (provider-claimed secure)
- **Learning loop:** trajectory learning from past successes fed back into routing (provider-claimed)
- **Codex support:** `npx ruflo@latest init --codex` generates AGENTS.md, skills, and MCP registration
Setup
Path A — Claude Code plugins (lite)
- Requires Claude Code 2.1.287+
- Inside Claude Code:
```
/plugin marketplace add ruvnet/ruflo
/plugin install ruflo-core@ruflo
/plugin install ruflo-console@ruflo
/plugin install ruflo-mods@ruflo
/reload-plugins
```
- Open the console with
/ruflo
Path B — full CLI install
- In your project terminal:
npx ruflo@latest init wizard - For MCP clients (stdio): command
npx, args["-y", "ruflo@latest", "mcp", "start"] - Optional standalone console:
npx ruflo tui
Prerequisites
Claude Code (2.1.287+) for the plugin path, or any MCP-capable client for the CLI path. Node.js for npx. Model access billed through your own Claude/Codex account — Ruflo is the harness, not the model.
