Soda
AI-enabled data quality testing and observability platform.
About
Soda is a data quality platform from Brussels and New York that treats data testing like software testing. It gives data teams a declarative way to define what good data looks like, run checks across ingestion and pipelines, and get alerted when anomalies or schema changes appear.
The company has been early on the AI angle: it launched SodaGPT in 2023 as a generative-AI assistant for data quality, followed by a broader Soda AI suite with anomaly detection and OpenAI assistants. It raised a further $14M in 2024 from Singular and Point Nine, bringing total funding above $25M, and positions itself around the data quality gap that fewer than half of AI adopters feel they have under control.
