SquadCast
Remote podcast recording studio, now free inside Descript (acquired 2023).

SquadCast appears to be discontinued or shut down — acquired by Descript 2023; standalone ended (historical) This page is kept as an archive record and is excluded from search engines.
About
SquadCast was a remote recording platform that let podcasters record interviews with guests in different locations in high-quality audio and video, with multi-track separation per speaker. It was known for its professional-grade remote recording quality versus glitch-prone conferencing tools.
On August 15, 2023, Descript acquired SquadCast, making the recording studio free as part of Descript. It is included here as a historical entry: the standalone SquadCast product no longer exists, and its recording capabilities live on inside Descript's AI-fueled editing suite alongside transcription, Studio Sound, filler-word removal, and Eye Contact. Descript itself is already cataloged; this entry documents the acquisition for completeness.
