FiftyOne
Open-source toolkit for computer vision datasets and model evaluation.
About
FiftyOne by Voxel51 is the leading open-source toolkit for building high-quality computer vision and multimodal datasets. Its Python-first library lets engineers load images, videos, point clouds, and labels into interactive datasets, visualize them in the FiftyOne App, compute embeddings, run similarity searches, and evaluate model performance, with a to_torch method bridging directly into PyTorch workflows.
It fills the data-understanding gap in ML: finding mislabels, class imbalance, and edge cases that silently cap model accuracy. Integrations span Hugging Face Transformers, SAM, CLIP, and DINOv2, and it is the open-source foundation of the commercial FiftyOne Enterprise product. Licensed Apache 2.0 and installable via pip.
What it can do
- Interactive visualization of images, video, and point clouds
- Embedding computation and semantic similarity search
- Model evaluation and failure-mode analysis
- Hugging Face Hub integration for dataset sharing
- Apache 2.0 open source with plugin extensibility
Setup
pip install fiftyone; load the quickstart dataset or your own COCO-format data.
Prerequisites
Python 3.9+; optional FiftyOne Enterprise for team collaboration.
