Marble
Fei-Fei Li's world model — persistent, explorable 3D worlds from text, images, or video.
About
Marble is the first commercial product from World Labs, the spatial-intelligence lab co-founded by Stanford's Fei-Fei Li. Launched in limited beta in November 2025 and commercially in early 2026 (Marble 1.1 shipped April 2026), it generates persistent 3D worlds from text, images, video, or 360-degree panoramas — not a live interactive stream like Genie 3, but navigable scenes you can actually export. The killer feature is production export: Gaussian splats (PLY/SPZ) and textured meshes that drop into game engines and VFX pipelines, with a Chisel Editor for AI-native 3D editing and a developer API at $1 per 1,250 credits.
Reality check: pricing is freemium ($20 Standard, $35 Pro, $95 Max) with commercial rights only from the Pro tier up, so casual use stays non-commercial. Scenes are generative — Marble infers rather than measures geometry, so don't expect survey-grade fidelity. And World Labs' own marketing figures (e.g. "weeks to minutes" for robotics environments) come from company case studies, not independent verification.
What it can do
- Persistent 3D world generation from multimodal inputs
- Gaussian splat and textured mesh export
- Chisel Editor for AI-native 3D editing
- Developer World API for programmatic generation
- VR compatibility (Vision Pro, Quest 3)
Setup
Sign up on the World Labs site; start from a text prompt, image, video clip, or panorama in the web app. Developers use the World API with an API key.
Prerequisites
A World Labs account; Pro tier ($35/mo) or higher for commercial usage rights.
