AWS SST Skill
Agent skill for AWS SST (Ion) infrastructure-as-code — serverless stacks, validation, and deploy workflows.
About
The aws-sst-development skill from zxkane's aws-skills collection teaches coding agents to build with SST (Ion), the TypeScript-first infrastructure-as-code framework for AWS serverless apps. It covers SST component patterns, pre-deployment validation (build, lint, typecheck, synth), and pairs with sibling skills for CDK development, cost operations, serverless event-driven architecture, and Bedrock AgentCore. Installable as a Claude Code plugin or standalone via npx skills.
The honest picture: this is a community fork/collection rather than official SST documentation — SST's own docs (sst.dev) remain the source of truth, especially since the framework has gone through major version shifts (v2 to Ion). Also note multiple forks of this repo exist (acumenix, rogers0404); stick to one and verify install commands against the repo you actually cloned.
What it can do
- SST (Ion) component and stack patterns
- Pre-deployment validation workflows
- CDK interoperability guidance
- Cost estimation before deployment
- Pairs with serverless-EDA and cost-ops skills
Setup
Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add zxkane/aws-skills, then /plugin install aws-iac@aws-skills. Or standalone: npx skills add https://github.com/zxkane/aws-skills --skill aws-sst-development.
