Falcon-Emirati
7B model built to understand Emirati Arabic dialect and culture.
About
Falcon-Emirati is a 7-billion-parameter language model from Abu Dhabi's Technology Innovation Institute, unveiled in October 2026 specifically for Emirati Arabic. Rather than relying on Modern Standard Arabic, it was trained on native Emirati content, cultural and heritage material, and synthetic data built with Emirati linguistic resources, so it handles idioms, proverbs, and Nabati poetry that formal-register models miss.
TII reports the model scored 84.83 percent on Alyah, its native Emirati Arabic benchmark, and says it outperformed every Arabic and multilingual open-source model evaluated, though the comparison details were not published for independent checking. It is offered through a Falcon Chat platform; TII had not disclosed whether weights would be published, so treat it as a hosted/proprietary release unless that changes.
