Jina Embeddings v3 (September 2024) is Jina AI's multilingual embedding model: 8K context, 89 languages, and task-specific LoRA adapters (retrieval, classification, separation) that specialize the embeddings per task without full fine-tuning.
Licensed CC-BY-NC-4.0: NON-COMMERCIAL. This is the critical caveat — you cannot use the weights in commercial products. (The Jina API offers commercial terms separately.) 1.86M Hugging Face downloads. A 2024 model with genuinely good multilingual quality, but the NC license rules out products. For commercial multilingual embeddings, use BGE-M3 (MIT) or the Jina API.
