Palmyra X5
Writer's 1M-context enterprise LLM for agentic business workflows.
About
Palmyra X5 is Writer's enterprise-focused large language model with a 1-million-token context window, launched January 21, 2026 per the AWS Bedrock model card. It is an adaptive reasoning model designed for complex business workflows and multi-agent systems, able to ingest entire codebases or large document sets and do multistep reasoning across actions. Writer says it was trained entirely on synthetic data at a reported cost of about $1 million in GPU hours.
Pricing is $0.60 per million input tokens and $6.00 per million output tokens on Writer's direct API, and the model is also available on Amazon Bedrock. Lifecycle note: Writer's developer docs mark Palmyra X5 (and X4) for deprecation on December 14, 2026, with Palmyra X6 as the migration path.
