About

VoxCPM is a text-to-speech system from OpenBMB that skips discrete speech tokens entirely and generates continuous speech representations with a diffusion-autoregressive design. It is built on a MiniCPM-4 backbone and trained on a reported 1.8 million hours of bilingual audio, aiming for expressive prosody that adapts to the content plus zero-shot voice cloning from a short reference clip. Weights for VoxCPM-0.5B were open-sourced in September 2025, with a 1.5 version following in December. The license terms were not confirmed in the sources read, so check the model card before any commercial use, and independent quality comparisons are still thin.
