About
Command R+ (CohereLabs/c4ai-command-r-plus) is Cohere's retrieval-augmented-generation flagship in its open-weights line: 128K context, a chat template with native tool-use and citation modes (including a dedicated RAG template), and 10-language coverage. Weights are downloadable but gated and CC-BY-NC-4.0 licensed — research/non-commercial only, not open source. Released April 2024, it has since been succeeded by Command A, Command R7B, and Cohere's newer paid models; for commercial RAG, the Cohere API is the intended route.
